My phone isn't getting notifications

Push notifications need both a completed phone pairing and an active Charyl Cloud subscription — check the pairing status and your subscription first.

Push notifications need two things to both be true: your phone paired to your home, and an active Charyl Cloud subscription — push is one of the things pairing turns on, not something separate from it.

  1. Check that pairing actually completed

Settings in the app shows your paired status. If pairing was interrupted partway through, re-pairing — the same QR-code step as the first time — is the fix.

  2. Confirm your subscription is active

If your home’s Charyl Cloud subscription has lapsed, push notifications are one of the things that stop along with it — see what needs a subscription, and what doesn’t?

  3. Check your phone's own notification settings

Like any app, Charyl needs your phone’s operating system to allow notifications from it — worth a quick check if the first two are already fine.
