My phone pairing expired or stopped working

The fix is the same regardless of cause: forget the home on your phone, then pair again the same way you did the first time.

Pairing can stop working for a few reasons — a confirmation step that wasn’t completed, a change on the home’s side, or simply choosing “Forget this home” yourself. Whatever the cause, the fix is the same.

  1. Forget the home, if the app hasn't already

In the app’s settings, “Forget this home” clears both your login and your device’s pairing, and returns you to the pairing screen — a clean starting point either way.

  2. Pair again

Scan the pairing QR code the same way you did the first time. If the box shows a short code to compare on both screens, confirm it matches before continuing — that step exists to make sure your phone is talking to your own home, not an impostor on the network.

If re-pairing doesn't hold
