What can Charyl do with cameras?
She can pull up a snapshot, list recent events, open live view, and snooze doorbell alerts — she does not look at or describe what's in the picture.
Ask “show me the driveway” and Charyl pulls up a current snapshot. Ask “did anyone come by today?” and she checks the last seven days of doorbell, motion, and intercom events. Ask her to pull up a camera live, and she opens live view. She can also snooze doorbell notifications for a stretch of time you name, and confirms back exactly when they’ll resume.
What she can’t do is look at the picture. No camera image — snapshot or live frame — is ever handed to an AI for a description. If you want to know what’s in frame, that’s still a decision for your own eyes; Charyl gets you to the right camera quickly, not a description of it.
Viewing live video on your home network is free and unrestricted for anyone using Charyl. Pulling up that same live view remotely, away from home, is part of the Charyl Cloud subscription — and if a day runs unusually heavy, it steps down to snapshots rather than leaving you with a dead tile.
shipped Snapshot, recent events, snooze, and local live view all work today, on the web dock and in the mobile app alike.
