What can Charyl control in my home?

She can switch, dim, recolor, and set presets on lights, switches, and fans, with a confirmation tap — anything that secures the house stays with the app.

Charyl can switch, dim, recolor, and set the color temperature or a preset on your lights, switches, and fans — the everyday comfort layer of the house. Ask her directly (“turn off the living room lights,” “set the porch light to warm white,” “put the bedroom fan on medium”) and she resolves the right device, then waits for a tap before anything changes.

Reading state is unrestricted, for anything in the home. “Is the back door locked” or “is the garage open” are always fair questions, answered live from the device’s own reported state. The restriction is only on acting: Charyl will not lock or unlock a door, open or close a garage door, or move a cover or blind in conversation. Those actions go through the device controls in the web app or the mobile app instead, which support them directly, with their own confirmation step.

Thermostat and HVAC control isn’t available anywhere in the product yet — not through Charyl, not through the app. It’s on the list; it isn’t built.

Why the split

Comfort is hers to help with. Anything that secures the house — locks, doors, the garage — stays a manual, in-app action, on purpose.

Every device action she takes waits for your tap, and a confirmed action opens a short window so the next similar command in the same conversation doesn’t make you confirm twice in a row.
