What is a "proposal", and why does Charyl make them?

A proposal is a drafted change Charyl prepares but never applies until you tap to approve it.

Underneath, every tool Charyl can use sits at one of three levels. Some only read — asking what you own, or checking a device’s state, changes nothing. Some propose — adding an appliance, updating a warranty, logging maintenance, filing a Home Record — draft a card you review before anything is written to your home’s actual record. And a small set execute directly, like turning off a light, but only after you tap a confirmation.

Proposals exist because Charyl works from what you tell her and what she finds, and both can be wrong — a photo can be misread, a lookup can be a near-miss. Rather than silently trusting her own first guess, she shows you exactly what she’s about to add or change, and waits. Approve it, and it becomes part of your home’s record. Reject it, and nothing happens. Either way, the decision — and a record of it — is yours.

This is also why Charyl’s household side never needs a separate “undo” for AI mistakes: nothing lands until you’ve already looked at it once.
