How do I pair my phone?
Scan a QR code from the app, sign in, and confirm a short code on both screens the first time.
From the mobile app, choose to pair a home and scan the QR code shown in the web app (or during setup). That single scan gives your phone a home-specific credential. You then sign in with your own login separately, so the phone recognizes the home before it recognizes you.
When your home shows a short code on both screens, compare them before continuing — a pairing scanned right off the web app on your own network may skip it. Confirming they match is what makes the phone trusted, and it exists to catch anyone trying to insert themselves into the pairing itself.
Signing out later leaves the phone still paired to the home — it just asks you to log in again. “Forget this home” clears both and takes you back to scanning a QR code.
