How is this site kept accurate?
Every answer carries a verified date and internal sources, an automated check screens out language we don't allow ourselves to use, and corrections come from you.
Every question and every guide on this site is a file, checked against an internal reference of what’s actually built before it’s published — not written from memory of what the product is supposed to do. Each one carries a verified date, so you can tell how recently it was checked, and each one is tied to internal sources a reviewer can trace the claim back to.
Underneath that, an automated check runs over the whole site looking for words and phrases we’ve ruled out — vendor names, prices, absolute privacy claims, quotes we didn’t collect. Everything else is checked by a human against an internal source list. A page that fails the automated check doesn’t publish.
None of that makes the site immune to being wrong. Software changes, and an answer that was accurate when it was verified can drift out of date. When that happens, we’d rather hear about it than have it sit there — see How do I suggest a correction?
